Starting your new website is simple and straightforward. Here's how you can get up and running in no time:
1. Setting Up Your Subdomain:
Your subdomain is the web address where visitors can find your site. It will be in the format subdomain.example.com, where "example.com" is our main domain and "subdomain" is your chosen name.
How to set up your subdomain:
Step 1: In your dashboard, navigate to the menu on the left and click on "Website Options".
Step 2: From the dropdown, click on "Manage Domain".
Step 3: In the provided field, enter your desired subdomain name (just the "subdomain" part without ".example.com").
Step 4: Click "Save" or "Submit". You'll receive a confirmation once it's successfully set up.
🔔 Note: Ensure your chosen subdomain is unique. If it's already in use, you'll be prompted to select a different name.
2. Adding Your Custom Domain (Optional):
After setting up your subdomain, if you have a custom domain like yourwebsite.com and would like to use it:
Step 1: Navigate to "Website Options" > "Manage Domain" in the menu.
Step 2: Enter your custom domain name.
Step 3: Click "Save" or "Submit".
🔔 Note: Before your custom domain becomes active, you'll need to update its DNS settings to point to our platform. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found here.
3. Designing Your Website:
Once your subdomain and/or custom domain is ready, you can then set up your website.
Step 1: Go to "Website Options" in the menu and select "Create Website".
Step 2: Browse through the available themes.
Step 3: Found a theme you like? Click "Install Theme" to activate it for your website.
4. Manage Your Website:
After installing your theme, you can start adding content, customize the design, and adjust settings according to your needs.
