How to Add a New Product
This guide will walk tenants through the process of adding a new product to their eCommerce store.
Navigate to the "Add New Product" Page
On the left-hand menu, under "Manage CMS Sections", click on "Manage Products".
On the Manage Products page, click "Add New Product".
Fill in the Product Details
Once on the Add New Product page, tenants need to fill in the required product details:
🔹 Product Name
Enter the name of the product (e.g., "Wireless Headphones").
This will be displayed on the store.
🔹 Product Description
Enter a detailed description of the product.
This field supports rich text formatting, so tenants can use bold text, bullet points, and images if needed.
🔹 Price ($)
Enter the price of the product in US dollars ($).
Example: 29.99
🔹 Stock Quantity
Enter the available stock for the product.
Example: 100
🔹 Select Category
Click on the category dropdown menu and choose the appropriate product category.
🔹 Product Status
Select "Active" if the product should be visible in the store.
Select "Inactive" if the product should be hidden.
Upload Product Images
Click the "Upload Product Images" button.
Select one or multiple images from your device.
Images must be in JPG, PNG, or JPEG format and should be less than 2MB in size.
🚀 Uploaded images will be automatically stored on Amazon S3 for faster loading.
Select Product Variations (If Needed)
If the product has different variations (e.g., Size, Color, Material):
Each variation type (e.g., "Size") will have a dropdown.
Select multiple options by holding CTRL (Windows) or CMD (Mac).
Example: Choose "Small", "Medium", and "Large" for a T-shirt.
Submit the Product
After filling in all the details, click "Add Product".
If successful:
A confirmation message will appear: "Product added successfully!"
The page will redirect to the Edit Product page, where additional changes can be made.
Managing Existing Products
To edit a product, navigate to "Manage Products" and click "Edit" next to the product.
To delete a product, click "Delete" (⚠Be careful—this action is irreversible!).
